Abstract
Accidents in students are influenced by busyness, socio-economics and student behaviour which includes the student's knowledge, attitudes and actions. Purpose: Knowing driving safety behaviourin students of the Faculty of Public Health, University of Cenderawasih Jayapura class of 2019-2022. Methods: The type of research used is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study was all FKM students from the 2019-2022 class, totaling 1.792 people. The sample was 95 students, while the sampling technique was accidental sampling. Data was obtained using a questionnaire and analyzed univariately. Result: The research results showed that the characteristics of the 2019-2022 FKM students were mostly between the ages of 19-22 years (96.8%) and male (60%). Respondents' knowledge about driving safety was in the good category as many as 88 people (92.6%) and as many as 7 people (7.4%) as sufficient. The attitude of respondents in the good category was 88 people (92.6%) and the unfavorable category was 7 people (7.4%). The actions of respondents in the safe category were 89 people (93.7%) and in the unsafe category were 6 people (6.3%). Conclusion: The safety behaviour of FKM Class 2019-2022 students when driving is in the good category
